Involved with Bay Area RepRap AKA Silicon Valley 3D I started building a 3D printer based on the Mendel design back in 2011, it will be finished soon I swear. I call it the Frankenmendel. I also broke down and bought a Prusa MK3s+, a much more reliable and performant printer.

I am building a Maslow CNC router.

I helped put on a Haunted House for the Carson School PTA several years ago

Working on a home energy monitoring system based loosly on this Hackaday Project also available on github Power Monitor

Building some talking shoes for my grandson using a voice recorder chip

• Tinkering

I run the Silicon Valley 3D meetup

I have a weakness for tools (I have at least 14 hammers: framing, sledge, carving, drywall, ball peen, deadblow, etc... in various sizes)

A Founding Board Member of Eureka! Inclusive Charter School and a member of the IEEE Education Society. I'm a fan of critical thinking and sentient behavior. I'm keeping track of the developments in using games for social good Serious Games

• Action
I volunteer with Beautiful Day each year. and help with my wife's Girl Scout Troop.
